The Ex Tobacco Dryers
The large buildings were built by the local Tobacco Company between the end of 1950 and middle of 1960 as tropical tobacco dryers. In 1978, Burri gained free use of one of them as a display gallery and by 1979 it was open to the public. It was the first of the wide painting cycles that characterised his production until 1993. In 1989 all the buildings were joined to the original one and the entire property restored and used as peculiar museum (7500 sm.) inaugurated in 1990. It houses 128 large dimension works.
